New Home Interior Design
Building a new home can be a daunting task. First, there's the decision of what kind of home will meet your needs.
Next, how should the home be designed to be the home of your dreams. That's just the beginning. There are hundreds
of decisions from window and door styles to faucets and lighting. When you face this kind of project and this
many decisions most people feel a bit lost and may feel unsure that they will actually get the home they dream of.
This is where I come in. I can help take the confusion out and put fun back in to the building experience.
I start by listening to you and your vision for the home you wish to build. Then, to keep us on track, I create a Home Design Guide that is unique to you. In that three ring binder is a written plan that covers our vision for your home and take us through the design details room by room. This Guide allows us to document all of your selections including hardware, plumbing, lighting, flooring and colors. By using this Home Design Guide, we can stay on schedule in the decision making process so that decisions are made without the last minute rush that often occurs and often results in less than ideal choices. Throughout the building process, I can help you with all of the design decisions you face allowing you to relax and enjoy the journey to the home you dream of. If you've already selected a home plan or contractor I will be happy to work with you and them. Often it's helpful if I can come into the process early, to put another set of eyes on the plan. Often people benefit from the details noticed by an interior designer that may have escaped others. I can help you review them just to assure that things like optimum traffic flow and furniture placement have been considered before 2x4's start going in place. If you have not yet decided on a home design I will be happy to refer you to my home planning professional who has many years experience in providing designs and blueprints to my clients. Today they aren't "blue" anymore but you know what I mean - home plans.
